https://gloucestersaxons.co.uk/hoopfest/
The Abingdon Eagles are proud to take part in this basketball festival, aimed at raising money for the Leukaemia UK.
The U12 turnament will run from 9am - 12noon.
As per any other match, bring water, sports shoes, and personalised orange kit if you have one. Otherwise, we'll give you a spare kit before the start of the match.
Minimum match fees are £5 to cover registration, but if you could donate more (min £10 recommended), all the raised money will be donated to the charity.
If you have any question, please let us know.

Please help us with our charitable goals - and thanks to the clubs who have already provided some insight into how they are supporting. It means a lot to us. I have attached the QR code for the Just Giving Page again.
Please let us know your kit colours; it helps to know in advance. Also please inform us if you have players without photo permission.
Tournify has been updated with teams and the planned competition schedule. Every age group is different; some have a 'final,' and some have a round-robin format where the overall winner is crowned champion. We have tried to be flexible to ensure all teams get plenty of time on the court, which is the most important element of the weekend.
The plan for the U12 competition is to have 1 group of 5, with the top 2 teams contesting a final. Following this we will have a brief presentation with medals, the trophy and an MVP award.
Games will be two 10-minute periods, with one timeout per team.
There are no free throws throughout the weekend: shooting fouls will equal 2 points, a shooting foul where the basket is scored = 3 points.
After 4 team fouls, all further fouls will result in 2pts.
Technical fouls will result in 1 point with possession retained for the team in control of the ball.
Referees will have the discretion to speak to coaches if an individual player is fouling excessively, with the ability to disqualify if they feel it's appropriate.
We will not be running a scorebook; a scoreboard operator will record team fouls instead.
The planned format (and schedule) is subject to change, so please keep an eye on Tournify (QR code attached). This will be displayed clearly on the day so supporters can follow their team's progress. Each competition will have a dedicated member of our team responsible for all of the co-ordination.
Please arrive for a brief 9am. welcome and introduction.
We'll be selling Hoopfest T-shirts on the day (cash or card); profits will go to the charity. They are priced at £12.
We are delighted that the venue coffee shop will be open for us once again, offering hot and cold drinks, cakes and lunches.'
