We took ten to Birmingham for an early start on Saturday and we we all arrived at the right place on time ! Well, at least I thought we were on time until Frankley claimed it was a ten thirty tip not ten fifty !
So, rushed warm up and the first few mins saw teams trade baskets with Eagles up by 9 at the end of the first and starting to gain control
In the second we played well and were up about 16 at one point until we lost concentration at the end and closed out the half up 37 to 29 with falcons scoring 8 unanswered before the whistle.
Early in the 3rd Manny broke away and dunked it to be followed by an eery silence! We played well with Tonko feeding Bernardo on the break and the Dowsett twins combining for a nice hoop along the baseline.
We rotated the team for the whole game and I think everyone had a great contribution to make at both ends of the floor
We closed out the 4th with some awesome D from Alex getting steals and a block and were comfortable winners 72 - 61.
Have to say that like most YBL encounters the refs, table and opponents were all very welcoming and our team were a credit
to the club and their parents

Was great to have Bernardo back and Tonko and Manny provide speed and athleticism. Great team performance- next game is home, Sunday the 16th and I’ll pick the team after training on Tuesday ( Covid permitting !!)
