WHAT A NIGHT!

WHAT A NIGHT!

Stevie Biltcliffe19 Jun - 18:23

Thank you everyone, for everything

Eagles flocked to the A&WC for 'The All Stars' charity game in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and it was an INCREDIBLE experience all round!

Our Walking team wowed the crowd.
The 'Legends' lit up the court.
The 'All Stars' were absolutely amazing.
And 'The Flight Club Dunk Contest'... wow that just lifted the crowd ever higher and took the roof right off the court! Check out photos from the night on our social media platforms or vie our album link here.

Our Refs & Officials were outstanding, our superstar DJ & Nesters were on point and spectators & donors were sensational! A crowd favourite in Head Coach Steve Claringbould described it as "A very special occasion that will never be forgotten". Whilst Chairman Jason Crowther was a beacon of support throughout the night and was in beaming watching what the Eagles had achieved and revelled in the phenomenal atmosphere of the family club, he has worked so hard to create.

Thank you to everyone for everything and a very special thanks to the wonderful Dan Crowther who gave up so much time, energy and enthusiasm to helping the event run smoothly, kitting everyone out and organising the external media team. Oh and taking part in radio interviews at a minutes notice!

Every ticket went, every chair was taken! Everyone was smiling. The Walkers game was a delight to watch, such a great group of Eagles, lots of skill and competitiveness on show for all to revel in.  All Stars won the game against the Legends in the score, but maybe the legends really won overall as they have been a big part of the All Star players journey too before they flew the Eagles nest.

The MVP of the night was awarded to French Biltcliffe, raining 3s throughout and even a half court basket.

The 'Eagles Flight Club' dunk contest winner was Henry Fletcher with clean 10s across the judges board after every single dunk. With a special nod going to Oscar Barnes, Alex Westbrook and Samson Weller for taking to the sky and all being a spectacular part of the Eagles Flight Club on the night.

With the charity Krispy Kreme donuts and Always Ballin' brand kindly donated a percentage of the takings received from the purchase of their goods along with personal donations we have smashed through every donation target we set. We're still counting a final few donations but as soon as we know we have the last - we can go live and celebrate the grand total with you all!

It's still not too late to donate to the event's Just Giving page, here on this link.

More information regards the incredible work the charity carry out, can be found here.

Thank you all again for being a very special part of a very special event.
