It was a great day of basketball on Saturday when the Oxfordshire-based Abingdon Eagles hosted the Worcester Wolves, Winchester Royals and Wiltshire Demons for a high-intensity afternoon of 'running-clock' basketball!
With 9 games played over the afternoon, the emphasis was on team and skills development rather than winning or losing and all teams embraced the ethos as we experienced a great afternoon of basketball.
We were also delighted to welcome Tony Bettridge, the most senior referee in Oxfordshire, to come and referee for us, as well as supervising and assessing two of our newest junior Level 1 refs.
This was the 3rd Summer CVL tournament we have organised to improve the basketball experience for Oxfordshire clubs, as well as those outside the region who don't have access to local, competitive basketball games.
Next week it's the turn of the U16s - bring it on!
