Reflecting on the U11 YBL 2021/22 team I am reminded that CHANGE is inevitable … and the young dynamic U11 team will take it all in their stride - no bother!

From November to January we faced the same 2 teams on 3 separate occasions. After being beaten on the first tournament I was heartened to see all of the team showing right back up at training and facing up to the consecutive 2 tournaments. Resilience, character & a pure love of basketball. Can’t beat that.

The YBL put on an additional 2 tournaments during May which gave the team an awesome chance to Match-Up to similar ability teams. After those initial hard knocks the team grew & morphed with some chemistry to create that winning streak of 6 wins from 6 matches. Their commitment & grit paid off and they got that feel good experience of working as a TEAM. Magic Spadagic!

Before we go onto team mentions just wanna say;

* Asa, Daniele & Will – well done pitching up for every single match opportunity. All these match minutes really count : )
* Coach Jake has been the linch pin of coaching consistency. We really have appreciated his cheery and considerate coaching throughout the season. It’s in his genes (thanks Jo: ))
* Not to forget mainstay TM Richard. The best sweeper-upper in the shire : )
* Mahoosive thanks to Coach John & Coach Hayley pulling together in good old Abingdon Eagles fashion to keep the U11 Tuesday training a-spark!
