After two arduous trials with the South of England’s best U15 basketball players, two of our National League U16 players have been picked for the U15 Southern England Regional Squad.

Dillon Bose and Akira Harry will join the 20 strong squad for intensive training in the run up to the national tournament that will take place in Manchester in September. Both players were up against the best of the best players in the South of England and worked hard throughout the trials exhibiting great skills in shooting, passing, defence and offence.

“Following on from having a player in the recent U11 South team, as a Club we are so proud of this achievement from these two extremely talented players.” comments Steve Claringbould, Head Coach at the Abingdon Eagles. “It is a real testament to their hard work and commitment both in games and training and is fully deserved.”

The boys will now go on to train throughout the Summer in the hope of being selected as one of the final 12 that will go on to compete at the tournament.
